A downtown Boston Sweetgreen restaurant was closed Tuesday for health code violations.
City inspectors visited the upscale salad shop at 15 School St. Tuesday morning after a consumer reported symptoms including fever, vomiting, and loss of appetite after ordering food from the restaurant Friday, according to inspection records.
An inspection found five violations, four of which were deemed critical, records show. The violations included cutting boards that were “heavily soiled” and evidence of heavy fruit fly infestation in the basement.
In August, the chain’s Boylston Street location was shut down for several days after failing a city health inspection.
