BJ’s Wholesale Club has posted the following recall on its website.
Panera Bread Broccoli Cheddar Soup Recall
Blount Fine Foods Corp is recalling a limited amount of Panera Bread Broccoli Cheddar Soup 2x24oz club pack because the product may contain pieces of plastic. Only the following product and date code is affected:
PRODUCT: Panera Bread Broccoli Cheddar Refrigerated Soup 2 x 24oz cups
UPC: 077958790918
USE BY DATE: 12/5/2016
NO OTHER PRODUCTS ARE AFFECTED BY THIS RECALL
NO OTHER DATE CODES OF THE SAME PRODUCT ARE AFFECTED BY THIS RECALL
Blount Fine Foods manufactures this product under retail license from Panera Bread. This product is packaged in a paperboard sleeve with two plastic cups inside and sold in a refrigerated case in the deli department.
The recall was initiated because Blount was notified by two consumers that plastic pieces were found in the product. An investigation is underway.
Consumers who purchased this recalled product and still have it in their possession should NOT consume this product and should dispose of the product. Contact Blount Fine Foods at 1-800-274-2526 or email at consumerinfo@blountfinefoods.com for a refund.
