Three norovirus cases at Buffalo Wild Wings

The Johnson County (Kansas) Department of Health and Environment (JCDHE) has received confirmation of two additional positive cases of norovirus, for a total of three.

This concludes the testing of samples in the investigation associated with patrons of Buffalo Wild Wings in Overland Park.

The source of illness cannot be confirmed. There have been no additional reports of illness.

Noroviruses are relatively resistant to alcohol – based hand sanitizer, so they should not be used as a substitute for soap and water.

JCDHE’s investigation has been done in coordination with the Kansas Department of Agriculture, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, and the City of Overland Park.
